the Wild Stallion by LeeTiram the Wild Stallion by LeeTiram
This is so full of motion... I think it's the one I love the most up until now, mainly because I don't believe it came out of my hands. I recently framed it with a nice green frame with golden veins and it fitted it just fine.
I love what I became to be, it's nothing like what I used to draw in the past and I'm happy I can see it and keep improving.

This is based on a picture taken from the book: "EQUUS - the creation of a horse" by Robert Vavra, foreword by James A. Michener" pg. 148-149

Pastels on green sheet, about the size of an A3 paper.

I'm so happy to hear that a work of mine has inspired someone, thank you.
You should if you like it, it's like being a child again and drawing with your hands :)

I really like this boy, only that I'm afraid it's going to be a creative block for me because I'm not sure I can top that...
BTW, I think that "motion&emotion" is some car company logo, perhaps "Peugeot"?
Anyway thanks!

If it's a car slogan, I didn't know it!

Of course you can top it. Keep drawing and eventually you'll have a new fav. :)

Well, it's hard to be original. :p Neat ad, we don't have Peugeot here though, so I doubt it snuck into my unconscious. :D

I know what you mean...I do drawing to. I guess now and then one turns out especially nice, and while you may do better technical drawings afterwards, there's still something about that one that makes it stand out (in this case I think the lighting in the painting is really good). And it's frustrating because you're drawing all these new things but people keep liking the old one...well, it's not like you'll stop becoming a better artist, so sooner or later you'll look back on this one as a stepping stone. Meanwhile just have fun drawing. :D

(stupid question: is it called drawing, with pastel pencils, or painting?)

Thank you, you understood completely :)

It's called drawing since I use dry colors (in this case soft paster chalks). Had I used acrylic or oil it would have been called painting :)

You really don't have any Peugeot?

So it's like painting with pencils? I've seen those and wondered how there are to draw with, compared to colored pencils for instance. :)

There's probably a Peugeot import or two somewhere in North America, but as far as I know they aren't sold here - I don't recall seeing one outside of Iceland and England. Clearly they're big in Europe, and Israel too. Do you have a lot of American cars there, or is it mostly European and Japanese/Korean?

I guess you can say that... It's not like real painting, more like hand dirtying :), I work a lot with my fingertips, and it's really fun and cool.
You should try, get yourself one or two shades and try to draw something, you'll get the hang of it in no time :)

As for the cars, there are all kinds of cars here. We have a Chevrolet Cruze and a Chevrolet Malibu (the latter belongs to dad's workplace).
We used to have a Ford Mondeo and before that some Chevrolet Cavalier (also from work).
Our private cars were indeed mostly from the far east, until the Cruze.
My dad prefers American cars, he says they're safer. I don't really care, I just want a 3-4 degree car :)
